As global hysteria for cricket reaches fever pitch, The Times of India and Dubai’s Khaleej Times have launched Indian Premier League portals covering every dimension of the vaunted cricket tournament.
Powered by Daylife Select, the portals serve up headlines, scores, photos, and profiles on the cricket competition. Fanatics can track schedules and watch slideshows, or get granular by reading up on teams and players.
Already in its second season, the IPL kicked off last week in South Africa to a media frenzy. The BBC reports that an average of 80% of tickets are selling for every match, and over 100 Facebook groups have been created around the games.
The Khaleej Times, the Gulf’s biggest English daily, built its maintenance-free Indian Premier League portal in two days using Daylife Select’s WYSIWYG drag-and-drop editor.
And The Times of India, India’s biggest English daily, launched its portal to bring its audience in-depth coverage that goes beyond the site’s editorially curated reporting. Both portals host hundred of thousands of self-populating pages on cricket news, players, and statistics.
Want your own portal? Daylife will have you up on running with a portal on the IPL– or over 1,000 other news topics– in days. Learn more here.
